Why This Matters
You've spent two decades building a life. Career, family, the mortgage. And somewhere in that, your body changed. Your knees started complaining. Stairs got harder. You tried the same stuff that used to work—more cardio, eat less—and nothing stuck.
That's not a failure. That's biology. And it's fixable.
Strength training isn't about becoming a different person. It's about building the capability to keep doing the things you actually want to do. Walk without pain. Play with grandkids. Feel confident in your body.
The Evidence Side
I'm not here to sell you on hormones being the villain or promising you'll "transform" in six weeks. Research doesn't support that. What it does support: resistance training builds muscle, improves bone density, supports metabolic health, and genuinely changes how you move through the world. That works for women 45-60 the same way it works for everyone else.
The difference is how we coach it. No ego. No judgment. No assumption you should be doing what a 25-year-old does. Just solid programming that respects your life.
Who I Am
I've competed as a bodybuilder and a powerlifter. I've studied nutrition and coaching theory. I'm a Gen X woman navigating the same body changes my clients are. I know what it feels like to be strong, to lose that strength, and to build it back deliberately.
I run ZD Coaching solo. That means when you book with me—whether it's a semi-private class, one-on-one coaching, or The Rep Collective—you're getting me. Not a franchise. Not a algorithm. A coach who shows up every time.
The Philosophy
Strength For Life. Not strength for Instagram. Not strength that requires an hour a day. Strength that makes your actual life easier and more capable. That's what I build here.
ZD Coaching is built for women 40+ navigating midlife strength training. That said, the methodology works for anyone. I also work with men and younger women who want evidence-based coaching without the motivational nonsense. If you're ready to train serious, I'll coach you.
